Alopecia and skin cancer are the same reasons

absence of four proteins. The first two proteins, called Wnt
and noggin, determine the migration of stem cells from the upper layer of skin
underlying divisions. Scientists have found that Wnt and noggin blocks the synthesis of substances
that bind a stem cell with its environment. The fact that the adhesion
(Sticking) to other cells - a necessary condition for the transformation of stem cells
in skin cells, so stem cell, remaining in solitude,
turns into a hair follicle. Researchers believe that it is a violation
adhesion and as a consequence of the inability to adequately interact with the environment
can lead to cancer stem cell regeneration.



In addition to migration, Wnt and noggin also regulate the accumulation in cells of the other two
proteins - beta-catechin and Lef-1. The latter is responsible for the spectasm of morphological
changes that must undergo a cell in the process of differentiation in
hair follicle. For example, in laboratory mice with high levels of beta-catechin
hair was thicker, and the wool itself is thicker than in mice with low levels of this protein.
