inicheskom inflammation associated with the manifestations of syndrome
insulinorezistentnotsi (IRS) and the development of cardiovascular disease ".
Austrian researchers examined the association of IRS and levels of CRP, IL-6 and necrosis factor
tumor-alpha (TNF-alpha) in 37 patients with morbid obesity before and after
gastroplasty surgery.
Potro weight after surgery significantly influenced the prevalence in this
sample of diabetes (37% vs. 3%), impaired glucose tolerance (40% vs.
33%) and normal state of carbohydrate metabolism (23% vs. 64%). Concentration
CRP and IL-6 were significantly lower, and the levels of TNF-alpha remained unchanged.
Further analysis revealed an independent and fairly strong correlation between
decreasing insulin resistance and reduced IL-6 (p <0.01). Decrease
body mass index independently correlated with a decrease in CRP concentration
(P <0.05).
According to the authors, weight loss in these patients leads to a reduction
cardiovascular risk. However, in order to confirm this, new
prospective studies.
