D-dimer help in the diagnosis of venous thrombosis

During the period of observation only one participant was recorded venous
thromboembolism. Consequently, patients with low and moderate risk of DVT
a negative test result on the D-dimer almost completely eliminates
the likelihood of this diagnosis, the authors believe.
