in the ciliary body from the anterior chamber angle. Fluid passes between the
ciliary muscle bundles in supratsiliarnoe and suprachoroidal space.
From the latter the liquid flows off of an emissary, or directly through the sclera
and further falls in the lymphatic system. Maximum concentration
latanoprost in the eye is approximately one hour after instillation.
Hypotensive effect reaches 35% compared with baseline
in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma.

burrowing during the day (preferably evening instillation).
Combination with other antihypertensive prepatatami enhances therapeutic
effect, but instillation of pilocarpine in high concentrations inhibits
gipoterzivnoe effect of latanoprost. The level of the hypotensive action
comparable with those of timolol maleate, and according to some estimates exceed
him.
Systemic side effects of latanoprost were found.
An interesting side effect was a gradual increase in the number of
pigment in the iris, which manifests itself in long-term (several months)
treatment.
Morphometric analysis showed that the hyperpigmentation
is not associated with proliferative processes, with an increase in the synthesis
existing melanin melanocytes. Apparently, hyperpigmentation
is irreversible.
