Eight of the 65 participants in the experiment had developed schizophrenia in 2-3 years after
the experiment began. MRI analysis of each of these eight individuals revealed the presence of
changes in the gray matter of the brain.

anxiety for two years before the onset of the disease. Scans revealed changes in the site
